Fun Bouldering Competition – October 6th/2024
Join us for the October fun bouldering competition. All abilities welcome, sweet prizes,
great music and lots of fun new climbs ranging in difficulty.
When: 1:00pm - 5:00pm, Sunday, October 6th / 2024
All age groups compete in the same time slot

Kids (6 - 12)
Youth Women (13 - 17)
Youth Men (13 - 17)
Adult Women (18 - 39)
Adult Men (18 - 39)
Masters (40+)

Format: Scramble - Peer Judged
A large number of routes will be set around the gym. Competitors can choose any routes they would like to attempt and decide in what order to make their attempts. climbers may make multiple attempts on routes. Climbers are encouraged to help each other out and share beta (advice). Climbers are ranked by their top 5 routes.

National Qualifier Competition – Sat, October 5th
Registration closes: 9:00am, Saturday, October 5th / 2024
Fee: $40.00
Qualifying format: 5-on 5-off format
There are 5 problems. Each climber moves through the problems in a set order. Each climber gets 5 minutes total to preview and attempt each problem. Between problems, the climbers get a 5 minute rest period.
Finals format: World cup format
This competition will have ISO. Athletes will be escorted out of isolation for a 2 minute preview of each problem prior to the start of the competition. All climbers climb problem one before they all move on to the next problem. There are 4 problems, each climber gets 4 minutes on each.

Adult Competitive Check-In: 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Technical Meeting: 9:45 am
Adult Competitive Qualifiers Start: 10:00 am
Finals Isolation Check-In: Begins at 5:15 pm closes at 5:45 pm
Gym open to spectators at 6:15 pm
Adult Competitive Finals: 7:00 pm

October 5th: Fit Rocks, Saint John
October 19th: FBC, Fredericton
November 2nd: Seven Bays, Halifax
*All local events provide a chance to earn points toward an athlete's provincial ranking. Athletes must compete in both events to get points that count towards their overall provincial ranking. The top 4 highest-ranking athletes in both Men's and Women's categories will be eligible to represent New Brunswick at Open Bouldering Nationals.
